Assisting industrial sustainability

New ideas & sustainable solutions.

A component of Spill Fix Products:

  •  Oils & greases
  •  Chemicals (liquid)
  •  Bodily fluids including urine, blood, vomit and faeces

Heating & Cooling:

The microporous structure of CMZ lends itself to be able to bind and store heat within its structure. Combined with very efficient solar collectors and a solar fan it offers an energy free capability to heat, cool by two different methods, or dehumidify air, all of which have many applications in rural and remote parts of Australia.

CMZ binds heat and is unaffected up to 1000C. Work is ongoing on managing and controlling the incorporation, storage and controlled delivery of heat in industrial processes.

In the Treatment of Air Containing:

  • Hydrogen Sulfide & Ammonia
  • Sulfur Dioxide, Nitrogen Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide (vehicular exhausts)
  • Paint vapour
  • Styrene
  • Diesel fumes
  • Cooking volatiles
  • Smoke particles with water misting

Building Materials:

  • Pyrolysed with wood to produce patent pending ZeoChar
  • Combined with lime in the manufacture of cement with substantially reduced carbon footprint

Cement & Concrete

In cement manufacture CMZ can be used to reduce the amount of lime used, in doing so reduce greenhouse gas emissions by the same margin. There is no quantifiable difference in strength or curing of the Zeolite included cement with traditional lime. Zeolite in cement is called a Pozzolan.

In concrete CMZ can be used to provide greater functionaity than sand and gravel, due to its hardness and blocky angular shapes which bond more strongly than other additives.

Concrete containing CMZ is less dense then other formulations, so is lighter and has fire retardant properties. This is potentially useful in using concrete in manufacturing cladding materials for multi-storied buildings.

Heat Incorporation

As CMZ binds heat readily it can be added to many and varied compositions to reduce the risk of fire. Examples include exterior cladding on buildings, underground tanks below fuel depots, service stations for petroluem products and power substations for reducing the risk of fire from high temperature transformer oil.

Absorbents in Ingredients in Veterinary Medicine may assist in the treatment of:

  • Intractable diarrhoea in dogs;
  • Halitosis in dogs and cats;
  • Oral hygiene and teeth cleaning in dogs and cats;
  • Coccidiosis in young animals;
  • Malodour in dogs’ faeces and urine, particularly when fed high protein food as “working dog” diets; &;
  • As part of a dry shampoo to remove oil, grease and grime in the fur of dogs and cats.

In Cosmetic Products including but not limited to:

  • Face masks and/or dermabrasion
  • Abrasive soap for removal of oil or grease

Rehabiliation after Mining

Application here is in two ways:

1. Extracting residue ore from existing tailings dams using CMZ with different particle sizes and ranges.

2. Remediating contaminated soil, particularly in regard of radioactivity where it is bound and stablised. This has been the case in every accident at nuclear plants (Sellarfield, UK; 3 Mile Island, USA; Chernobyl, Belarus and Fukushima, Japan).
